Update: after speaking with the mechanic again on Wednesday of the following week because another check engine light came on, we told him we wanted a callback from the owner. So less than 24 hours after that, we did receive a call from the owner. We discussed our concerns, and she was absolutely reasonable in hearing them. I really thought this was just going to continue to go south, but she was willing to make it right. So I think it’s only fair that I update my review on them also. * Original : My main issues are that I was not called at any point between dropping my pickup off and when I was called to come pick it up, which was over the course of two days, to let me know what the technician had found and confirmed to be the issue and what he needed to do to repair it. Not only that, but when I went to pick it up, the technician blatantly told me to me face and my wife’s that he had changed nothing from the original estimate (which was supposed to be a “worst-case” scenario estimate), and I believed him. I didn’t have the original estimate in hand, but I had no reason to call him a liar. Lo and behold, I ended up paying $500 more. I asked for that to be refunded, and still have

I cannot recommend KC Auto Solutions after my experience. I originally went in for a shaking issue and a coolant leak. They fixed both, or so I thought. A few months later, the same coolant leak returned. Even though the repair was supposed to be under warranty, they quoted me more money. I paid again, got the car "fixed," and the vehicle broke down literally as I pulled into my driveway. I had to pay out of pocket to tow it back to them, and even then they refused to honor the warranty. They claimed the "new" coolant part had failed, but somehow that still wasn't covered as other parts also failed? I don't understand or agree with this. After returning home, and driving to my parent's house for Easter, the car started smoking from the engine bay. The car is still leaking from the radiator, and now I'm dealing with what appears to be even more serious damage caused by repeated coolant failures. After looking deeper into the issue, it turns out this is a known problem with this make/model (Chevy Sonic)--yet KC Auto Solutions never mentioned that, even when I asked multiple times whether the repair was worth doing, and if this car's model has any known issues. In total, I spent ne

KC Auto Solutions is absolutely fantastic! I love the honesty and thoroughness they put into their work. The owner, Caitlyn, might be the friendliest person I’ve ever met—you can tell she truly takes pride in her business. They goes above and beyond to make sure everything is done right, and that level of care and quality work really stands out. Five stars all the way! Keep up the amazing work, KC Auto Solutions!

Tried to get my car fixed here, they ended up quoting me roughly $2000 more than other shops to fix the transmission and clutch. When I tried to have my car towed to another shop, they said I had to be present to sign for my car, even though I had no way to get to the shop (BECAUSE THEY HAD MY CAR). Now I'm having to spend ANOTHER $50 to Uber to their shop to pay in person just to get my car away from them. DEFINITELY AVOID THIS SHOP.
